CenturyLink's UCaaS service going to Iowa

CenturyLink agreed to provide its unified communications-as-a-service (UCaaS) to Iowa Communications Network (ICN), thus increasing its presence in the cloud-based services market.

ICN, which runs a statewide middle mile fiber network, will extend CenturyLink's UCaaS service to its education, public safety and government users with what it says is transparent and fixed pricing.  ICN runs a statewide middle mile fiber network, with UCaaS this service would extend, providing an enhancement experience to education, public safety and government users.

The government users can buy services package that includes managed data networking, Voice over Internet Protocol phone service and collaboration applications such as instant messaging.

Users that subscribe to the UCaaS service will pay a monthly rate that includes IP phones and equipment updates.
